The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women annually seeks new voting members with a Spring Quarter announcement inviting applications from interested faculty, staff, academic appointees, postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students.
Membership Details
Throughout the academic year and part of the summer, the committee convenes once per month as detailed below. The role of the co-chairs will be to set the agenda.
When We Meet:
The CSW meets the second Tuesday of each month from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
Appointment Term
- Three year commitment for 7 faculty, 7 staff, and 3 academic appointees; this is inclusive of 1 faculty co-chair and 1 staff co-chair.
- Two year commitment for 3 graduate/professional students and 3 postdoctoral scholars.
- One year commitment for 2 undergraduate students.
Time Commitment
- Attend monthly CSW meetings from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. every second Tuesday throughout the year.
- Allow 1–3 additional hours per month depending on level of involvement. Members are asked to serve on one subcommittee or special initiative that fits their expertise, availability, and/or interest. Members may also represent the CSW on other campus or system committees, dependent on expertise, availability, and/or interest.
- Participation on this committee is not required and therefore does not implicate any workload equivalencies or other assigned duties.
