The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women closed its annual application window on Friday, June 15, 2018 and is beginning to screen for new members and alternates. All individuals who applied will learn of their application status by early August.
During the summer quarter, members of the committee will review applications from the campus community and select new members for the upcoming term. The committee will submit the final list of committee members to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for approval.
Throughout the academic year and part of the summer, the committee will convene once per month as detailed below. The role of the co-chairs will be to set the agenda.
When We Meet:
The CSW meets the second Tuesday of each month from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
- Three year commitment for 7 faculty and 7 staff representatives, this includes 1 faculty co-chair and 1 staff co-chair.
- One year minimum commitment for undergraduate students, graduate/professional students, and 3 postdoctoral scholar representatives.
- Attend monthly CSW meetings from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. every second Tuesday throughout the year.
- Allow 1–3 additional hours per month depending on level of involvement. Members are asked to serve on one subcommittee or special initiative that fits their expertise, availability, and/or interest. Members may also represent the CSW on other campus or system committees, dependant on expertise, availability, and/or interest.
